Strengthening the Economy, Health, & Climate Security through Resilient Agriculture and Food Systems
Last year, FS6 CEO Caesaré Assad participated in the Day One Project Policy Workshop on Agriculture and an Equitable recovery. Day One is a science and technology policy accelerator that helped convert my idea into an actionable policy proposal to inform the S&T agenda for the Biden administration. She was one of 18 food systems experts working together to develop a suite of policy recommendations focused on the benefits of improving health, food system resilience, and climate security through regenerative agricultural activities.

The FS6 team welcomes two new members as they expand their capacity for supporting a food and agriculture industry hit hard by COVID-19
Food System 6 (FS6) has brought two new leadership roles to the organization to meet a growing demand for entrepreneurial support in the food and agriculture ecosystem. After a tumultuous year, the need to deploy resources, mentorship, and investment into early-stage food businesses is more pronounced than ever and FS6 is strategically positioned to meet those needs.
Open Letter from CEO, Caesaré Assad
Dear FS6 Community,
I transitioned into the CEO position just months before COVID-19 took us all by storm. Faced with difficult decisions about the direction of our organization and unsure of our own financial future as a non-profit, Food System 6 forged ahead to find the most determined, most promising entrepreneurs confronting the worst food crisis in modern U.S. history.
