FS6 runs a 1-year accelerator program for food and agriculture entrepreneurs that kicks-off in December of each year and concludes with an Innovation Forum in the late Fall. The accelerator program is built to offer tactical business support and critical communication skills for entrepreneurs innovating across the food and agriculture landscape, while building a relationship with the FS6 team and community of mentors. The overarching framework for the FS6 accelerator program is built with a focus on communications and business strategy. We support each participant in building up the tools necessary to pitch and present their business, as well as the behind-the-scenes hygiene that will prepare them to raise funds, deep-dive into strategy, and refine their approach to capital. Our objective is to help entrepreneurs develop and hone the clarity of thought that they need to go out and effectively communicate their impact and business to any stakeholder - be it an investor, a foundation, a customer, or a producer.
All participating for-profit companies will contribute 1.5% in equity to FS6 upon acceptance to the accelerator program. Selected non-profits may participate at no cost. In addition, thanks to a partnership with investment fund, 1st Course Capital, eligible* participants will receive a $25k convertible note upon program completion.
Upon completion of the first year of FS6 programming, for-profit companies will have the option to continue receiving 2-years of ongoing custom support for an additional contribution of 1.5% in equity.
FS6 periodically offers unique 1-day workshop experiences to a broad base of early stage food system entrepreneurs and innovators. These Open Cohort workshops are offered for a small fee and are open to all early stage food system entrepreneurs on a first-come basis.

All entrepreneurs that complete the 1-year core accelerator program are invited to join the FS6 Portfolio. FS6 supports portfolio members through inclusion in FS6 events - such as the annual Portfolio Retreat and the Open Cohort program - targeted community-building, and on-call support, as available. FS6 is committed to actively advocating on behalf of our portfolio.
