Food System 6 Accelerator, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) registered non-profit. Donations to FS6 are tax deductible as permitted by law.
For entrepreneurs we:
Provide the tools, training and mentorship to enable innovators to take their work to the next level;
Provide access to our broad network including corporate strategic partners, key customers and stakeholders across the food system;
Connect them to various sources of capital and other resources.
For corporations we:
Identify a wide range of innovations that might be potential acquisition targets or that can help support their strategy and development;
Stay on top of trends and related markets that will have an impact on core business operations;
Create connections with other corporate partners who are facing similar challenges.
For foundations we:
Help identify promising potential grantees;
Support a wide range of innovations that are aligned with grant-making objectives;
Stay on top of trends in markets that will have an impact on the food system and may influence future grant making.
For colleges and universities we:
Provide a pathway from research to commercialization and access to Silicon Valley best practices;
Create an additional avenue for student entrepreneurs;
Collaborate to host gatherings, events, forums, etc.
For governments we:
Serve as a connection point to the best practices emerging across business, technology, investment, philanthropy, etc.
Identify emerging food system trends that can help achieve a range of public sector objectives including economic and workforce development, planning, zoning, etc.
Help identify the barriers to scale that businesses are facing to identify ways to improve regulatory regimes and improve the climate for innovation.
For investors we:
Provide an up-close look at the most promising food system innovators and create an opportunity to invest early;

Why are we called Food System 6?
Humans have evolved through five food systems throughout human history. All of these food systems exist somewhere in the world today. In the United States, the predominant system is FS5. We are working to build the sixth food system, optimized for environmental, physical and social health.
