To support FS6 entrepreneurs, we will provide access to an extensive network of mentors that represent the leading thinkers and practitioners across the food system, including seasoned entrepreneurs, non-profit and corporate leaders, investors and business domain experts.
Mentors who work with individual accelerator cohort participants will help develop their business or program in support of achieving their next major milestone. As part of the cohort intake process, FS6 will work with entrepreneurs to determine what areas a participant would most benefit from support by a mentor and FS6 will work closely with our mentors to identify a good match.
Mentors who work with a cohort as a group will primarily focus on a specific topic in the curriculum. Examples include:
A particular area of business strategy such as fundraising vehicles, go-to-market plans or messaging and branding
Insights into key areas of the value chain from farm to fork and the integration of sustainability, health and equity objectives
Status and implications of active policy initiatives such as traceability and transparency standards, SNAP programs or federal waste reduction targets.
